Creative Arts form an integral part of the whole curriculum. Lively drama, music and ensemble groups regularly visit the school and encourage a life-long interest in this area.
Music is delivered by specialist-trained musicians, and children have the opportunity to play percussion, listen, sing, compose and experiment with sound. Frequent concerts and performances allow our children to demonstrate their musical skills and share their enjoyment. All the children in Years 2 and 3 learn to play recorders, and individual string and piano lessons are available.
Drama and dance enable many children to express themselves with confidence, and allow them to perform with authority and self-confidence.
Art is an integral part of education, and freedom of expression is keenly encouraged. The school has two well-equipped art rooms offering a wide range of artistic resources, through which the children can develop their creative and imaginative talents, evident from the stimulating visual displays around the school. |
